About Interfaith Created for the community and by the community in 1981, Interfaith Community Care is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian, human services agency that provides support services for seniors, children and families in the West Valley. Interfaith operates six adult day centers in the West Valley, providing quality care for those with Alzheimer's, dementia and other chronic illnesses. Interfaith also provides grocery shopping, transportation, grief support groups and other programs that empower elders to remain independent and age with dignity. As more and more families move into the Northwest Valley in recent years, Interfaith recognized the growing need for quality childcare. According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, 44 percent of American have both an aging parent and children under 21 to care for. To adapt to the communities¹ changing needs, Interfaith created an innovative child development center that features a built-in intergenerational program, bringing the young and the old together for enriching experiences on a daily basis. Last year alone, Interfaith served more than 11,200 individuals in the Sun Cities, Peoria, Glendale, Youngtown, Surprise and other areas of the Northwest Valley.
